A heterogeneous-agent model with district-level constraints: an application to livestock development in Gansu, China AgEcon
Komarek, Adam M.; Waldron, Scott A.; Brown, Colin G..
This paper develops a heterogeneous-agent model to assess the impacts of removing lucerne growing subsidies, increasing livestock numbers and including district-level equilibrium conditions on optimal farm plans in the Qingyang district of Gansu Province, China. The model is a five-year dynamic linear program that solves across 96 farm households whilst incorporating district-level constraints. The approach used allows us to observe seasonal variations in incomes, infer the distribution of a policy shock among households and highlight trade patterns at the district level. The results suggest that without lucerne growing subsidies the total area of lucerne grown by all modelled households falls by 18%. Increasing livestock numbers by 25% reduces net...

Livelihood capitals on income inequality among rural households: evidence from China Ciência Rural
Yang,Fan; Jiang,Yao; Zeng,Weizhong.
ABSTRACT: We used the data of the China Labor-force Dynamics Survey 2014 to examine the effects of livelihood capitals which include natural, material, human, financial, and social capitals on total household income, per capita income, agricultural income, wage income, operational income, and property income inequality among rural households in China. Results showed that different kinds of livelihood capitals have different effects on different types of rural households’ income. Specifically; (1) although, the area of cultivated land reduces agricultural income inequality, it increases per capita income inequality. (2) Forest land area enlarges per capita income inequality and total household income inequality. (3) Tractor variable reduces inequality in...

Pharmacokinetics and safety of repirinast tablets in healthy Chinese subjects BJPS
Lv,Cheng-zhe; Huang,Ming; Zhang,Quan-ying; Zong,Shun-lin; Wang,Meng.
ABSTRACT Repirinast is a new, synthetic, disodium cromoglycate-like antiallergic agent for oral administration in humans. This study evaluated the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of repirinast tablets in healthy Chinese volunteers. This was a phase I, open-label, randomized, single- and multiple-dose study. Subjects were assigned to receive a single dose of repirinast tablet at either 150, 300, or 450 mg, or multiple doses of 150 mg twice daily for 5 days. Plasma samples were analyzed with LC-MS/MS. Pharmacokinetic parameters of active metabolite MY-1250 (deesterified repirinast) were calculated using non-compartmental analysis with WinNonlin software. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software. All adverse events (AEs) were mild and...

Revision of the subfamily Euphorinae (excluding the tribe Meteorini Cresson) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from China Naturalis
Chen, X.; Achterberg, C. van.
The subfamily Euphorinae (excluding the tribe Meteorini Cresson) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) from China is revised. In total 150 species, belonging to 24 genera, are treated and keyed. One genus (Heia gen. nov.; type species: Heia robustipes spec. nov.) and 69 species are described as new to science. Seven genera and 16 species are new to the fauna of China. Three genera (Euphorus Nees, 1834, Leiophron Nees, 1818, and Peristenus Foerster, 1862) are redefined. The subgeneric division of the genus Streblocera Westwood is reassessed and one new subgenus (Villocera subgen. nov.; type species: Streblocera villosa Papp, 1985) is proposed. The following synonyms are established: Euphoriella Ashmead, 1900, with Leiophron Nees, 1818; Aridelus hunanensis You, Xiong...

(type species: F. spinulata spec. nov.) and Cremnoptoides gen. nov. (type species: Cremnops pappi Sharkey, 1994); one genus of the subfamily Helconinae: Mangshia gen. nov. (type species: M. elongata spec. nov.); two genera of the subfamily Pambolinae: Plesiocedria gen. nov. (type species: P. intermediata spec. nov.) and Apocedria gen. nov. (type species: A. nodifer spec. nov.) and one genus belonging to the subfamily Opiinae: Opiolastes gen. nov. (type species: O. hei spec. nov.). In addition two new species are described: Facilagathis macrocentroides spec. nov. from Zhejiang and Cremnoptoides...
